Today, Cook posted on Weibo, announcing his visit to MiHoYo’s headquarters and sharing a photo with the creators of “Genshin Impact.” Cook expressed his happiness in meeting the team behind the award-winning iPhone and iPad games on App Store, “Genshin Impact.” Cook thanked the MiHoYo team for showcasing how they create immersive fantasy worlds for everyone on App Store.
Recently, Cook embarked on his journey through China, aside from necessary business meetings, he frequently visited stores, held meetings, and took photos with various people. According to the Sensor Tower official WeChat account on March 10, thanks to the release of the Hubei and Nyame character activities in early February and the update of version 3.5 in mid-February, “Genshin Impact” from MiHoYo saw a rise in overseas revenue, re-establishing its position at the top of the overseas mobile game revenue list and climbing to the top of the revenue growth list. With new characters, plotlines, and activities, “Kakihen 3” saw a 62% increase in overseas revenue, returning to the 14th place in the revenue rankings and climbing to the third place in the growth rankings.
Currently, “Genshin Impact” ranks third in the role-playing games category in China’s App Store and fifth in the games category’s top grossing list.
On March 7, Sensor Tower data showed that in February, 40 mobile game publishers from China made it into the top 100 global mobile game revenue list, with a total revenue of $1.85 billion. Among them, “Genshin Impact,” under MiHoYo, achieved its highest revenue in the past 11 months, returning to the second place in the global mobile game revenue ranking, with a 18.5% increase in mobile game revenue.
